Femur Lenght

As promised, curi-curi masa nak story mory about femur length. Those mother or mommy to be mesti korang mesti tau apa tu femur length kan.. time checkup, and scan your gynae sure ada ambil ukuran HC, FL, yadda yadda yadda....  This is not like 3D or 4D scan nak tengok hidung and muka baby semata yer.Ini untuk measure and check every single thing in your baby womb.

Detail scan ni actually optional. And up to you nak buat ke tak nak. Ada pros and cons buat details scan ni. Kebaikannya, we can detect any abnormalities at early stage. And our gynae can discus with us apa yang patut kita lakukan seterusnya and preparation physically and mentally for the worst.Keburukan if you choose tak nak buat, the abnormalities you only know when you give birth. Contoh la yang I tahu, if anak ada masalah jantung pun you can know from the detail scan.. (correct me if I'm wrong). 

My check up scan semuanya cam normal. Mula2 tu of course la I macam ok; jari dia cukup x, sumbing x? You know, the obvious thing yang mak mak kadang risaukan. Tiba-tiba pulak baby femur length shorter few weeks. Literally like a month behind and the sonographer quite concern about it. Tanya I plak, do I count my cycle correctly? Of course I count it correctly. And it comes with apps ok.. 

My fingers so itchy and google-ed it.. Memang nak gugur jantung. Rasa macam nak pergi hospital sekarang jugak to run all test and get the picture clear. It said, femur length short its a marker for chromosome defect, contoh down syndrome, Edward syndrome. Make it short, my gynae  assist me to get 2nd opinion at HUKM dengan Prof. Norzi (Highly recommended but she no longer with HUKM. Sedih)

I feel so blessed and lucky dapat jumpa dia. My worries wooshhh away bila dengar her explanation. Femur length shorter sebenarnya agak normal. We malaysian ni size biasa2 je.. and look at me and husband (both of us petite) of course the baby cute macam kitorng jugak la. I spent my few weeks worrying and over thinking. memang depressed! And yet I didn't show it depan husband. Xnak pulak dia yang stress. Nak shopping, nak buat apa semua tak ada mood. And seriously, memang rasa biarla cepat anak ni keluar, sebab boleh nampak ok ke x..(be careful for what you wish for.. mine wish come true.I gave birth at 35 weeks of pregnancy).

So, to mommy to be out there yang ada sama problem macam ni, just enjoy your pregnancy till the end... Lagi pun scan ni adalah anggaran je. And xde issue besar lain during the scan.. brain and heartbeat activity semuanya normal. InsyaAllah baby and mommy will be fine. Yes, regret jugak sebab terlalu stress sangat fikir pasal ni. Memang I x enjoy masa hujung hujung pregnancy. Tapi tu la tu, tak leh undurkan waktu kan... Anyway, syukur sangat sangat, walaupun Rayyan born awal and IUGR, dia sangat sempurna for me.. Hehehe of course la semua anak sempurna di mata parents kan....
